I am looking for reviews on my booth shot for this year's apps. I make metal jewelry & crowns with a Bohemian, vintage flair. I have many one-of-a-kind pieces. The pieces are very layered with detail & meaning, so I want my booth to reflect that element.
This is a corner shot. Thanks ahead for your opinions! -Lorelei

  • Remove the banner, no names. You need to crop tighter on the left so you don't see out of the booth. Remove the wrinkle on the right pedestal, it's drawing my eye because it's the closest thing in the booth to the camera.

When setting up a booth shot, use a tripod so you can set up the image from the juror's point of view. Everything in the booth should be turned slightly to face the camera.

    • Thank you Larry! This is very helpful about those little details that get my app that much closer to being accepted. What is your opinion on whether straight on or angled for a booth shot? ~Lorelei

      • The angle doesn't matter as long as the booth looks professional and looks like it shows three walls.

        • Thank you. Good to know!

  • Also, for jurying, you should not have your name in the booth.

  • Hi, your booth looks nice. I have been told that a straight on view into the tent is the preferred viewpoint. Good luck!

    • Thanks Kristin for your review!  Good point on the straight on view. The image won't be so hard to read. Good luck to you too!
