Opinions on Propanel desks vs. Abstracta

I'm getting ready to start doing the fair circuit.  I've done one a few years ago when I first started out as an artist and had the 4ft lifetime tables with skirts.  It was ok, but I know if I want to play in the bigger shows, I need a better set up. I've considered a lot of DIY options, but can't seem to find any that will really allow for both the look that I want and small/light break down for much less than buying my set up.  So I've been looking at the propanel desks with glass cases on top (I'm a jewelry artist) or doing an Abstracta set up.  For those of you familiar with these products, which would you suggest and why?  And for everyone else.....is there one that you think looks better?  Thanks!

  • Thanks Diane, that was something I was thinking about. I appreciate your input!

Kale, those do look nice! They are just slightly larger and a bit cheaper too!
    • I looked at the Propanels fold a desk and decided on Armstrong because it was cheaper for a taller stand and I am a giant.  I have only used it twice, but have not regretted my purchase as all.  Very easy to assemble and move.

    • Armstrong and Propanels are basically the same product. I actually have Armstrong and have never regretted it. I chose it because it was a little less expensive. The case fits on it perfectly.
  • Check out Armstrong as another option. I am not a jeweler, but I have their fold a desk and I love it.

  • I use propanel desks with cases on top.  Easier than Abstracta.  They go up in seconds.  Abstracta has too many parts and poles to put together and get lost.  My opinion
