New to Insiders

Hello everyone:

My wife and I are new to this site.  We've been exhibiting for a few years in shows in Florida and South Georgia in multiple disciplines.  Started with photography in 2006 and have moved through handpainted holiday ornaments and now are displaying and happily we may add selling our polymer clay creations.  We;ve exhibited in just about everything from local shows to some of the larger events including CHristmas Made in the South, several HA shows and community sponsored events.  Made a few adjustments due to the economy, but are looking forward to jumping back into the Florida winter shows on a limited basis next year.  Have fun!!

    Hi, Bob and Arlene and Everyone here...I am new to Art Fair Insiders but not to showing my art. Even with many years under my belt I am always looking for stories and discussions in all art-related areas. Like you, I have evolved with my creative fare, although I never put away any of my interests permanently....hence, I am a Multi-media artist! I am basically a watercolor and...artist. For the explanation visit my photo albums! I show my work primarily in MO, AR, KS, IN, IL, KY but continue to make plans for broadening my show schedule to include my home state of IA, and three of my favorite states...MN,MI and WI before my Honda wagon succumbs to mileage stress! Since I work in SW MO I have a never-ending source of scenic supplies at hand and collecting the visual specialties of other regions is my passion so I never expect to have a real 'dry spell'! May AUTUMN "REIGN" BE SUCCESSFUL AND PLEASURABLE!

    Hello Arlene and Bob. You guys seem to be very versatle and seem to be able to do art in many mediums. I guess that way you can go with what works. The economy has hurt the art business but I sure hope we are nearing the bouncing back point soon. Good luck in your Florida shows in 2010.

      Thanks Sabrina and Jackie. We try to do all we can to be flexible in the quickly changing world of arts and crafts. News that Walmart shoppers will be into socks and underware this upcoming holiday season will keep us all on our toes. Our customers today seem to be concentrating on value for the dollar spent. I haven't sold one of my gallery wrapped canvas items in a few years, but the under $30 market seems to be thriving.
