Need to clean the poles for my Trimline

The poles to my Trimline 10x10 are in need of cleaning.  They have a while powder all over them which I guess is some kind of oxidation and the finish is really dull.  Im not sure Id go as far as saying they are corroded but they could sure use some cleaning.

Anyone have this problem? If so what did you do about it?  Is there something that will make them look newer?

  • Just talked to Customer Service and you are correct Michael they are great!!!! They are going to get back to me on just what I can do.
  • Thanks for the replies. Ill probably call them first but I think the WD-40 may be what will work.
  • As a general suggestion, spray WD-40 on a rag and wipe the poles down with that. I used to use the stuff as a cleaning agent to remove gummy tape residue from hospital IV poles. The other suggestion is to use Armor-All wipes as those are good at removing stubborn grime. Try some on your car's steering wheel and you'll be horrified to see what comes off where your hands normally rest ;-) The Armor-All wipes also leave a polished finish and will help keep the poles from oxiding as much.
