Hi- I'm a jewelry designer who makes primarily fine beaded cuffs, necklaces and some earrings. For the last few years i have jerry-rigged a full-length mirror up in my booth either perched it against my step stool with a bungee cord or hung it precariously from the tent. I am stepping up my booth display this year and don't want it to look funky. Any advice as to the necessity of using a full length mirror in a 10x10 booth? Free standing/cheval mirrors are heavy and take up alot of room. Maybe I don't even need one? What do you guys think?

  • Jewelers need mirrors in the booth. Mine is about 15x15, gold gilt fancy frame and either sits on table, or is hung at an optimal level for viewing. Full length is not necessary for jewelry. I use S hooks to hang it, and my earring shutters.

  • I use a 15 inch square mirror hanging off the gridwall.  Works great.

    • thanks, Cindi

  • I have 3 large hand mirrors that were purchased at a beauty supply store.  They work great!981299625?profile=original  I place one on each table and one on the bottom of the shelves.

You can see them in this picture from my show this past weekend.

    • thanks for your suggestions Leigh Ann

  • Julie I have two A4 sized mirrors in frames - one on the table and one that I can pull out when the customer can't get to the one out if there is someone in the way.   It's more than sufficient.  A lot of women don't want to see their whole body or a good portion of it as they get distracted by their rumpled look, or their crepey neck or their few extra pounds, or how tired they look after trampling around all day.  They want to see the jewellery on that specific piece of body only and remain feeling good about themselves :)

    • Hi Annette, I appreciate your input. I just want these women to see how beautiful they look wearing my jewelry- but maybe not the whole picture. :)

  • I use an over the door hook full length acrylic mirror which I purchased at Walmart for $10.00. It hangs over the tent and grid frames. There was a noticeable increase in sales with the addition of the mirror.

    • thanks, Rich

  • You could look into over-the-door hanging mirrors that come with hooks that latch onto the back of the mirror and can then be suspended from the pipe/drape fixture.
