I finally have the time to work on covering the mesh panels that I recently got. I took the curtains/fabric off the old display and am reusing it to make covers for the mesh panels, but I have a question:
Should I make them slipcover style so that both sides of the panels are covered or is one side sufficent? If one side, should I use ties to attach or hot glue some velcro strips to the sides of the panel?
Thanks,
Jen

I need to recover my panels; was wondering what type of fabric you used and where you got it.
Thanks,

Hi Steve,
I bought heavy curtains from Walmart and just cut/sewed them to the correct size. I left openings at the top so that the panel clips could fit. Wash them first so that they don't shrink, and they are easily washable afterward.
Slipcovers it is! 3 down, 4 to go. They really do have a nice appearance and if given the opportunity, I'll hang on both sides.
Yes, I will take pics once done and post :D Thanks so much for your thoughts!
You go!
Glad we could help! The pics will be interesting to see!
I think slipcovers give you more flexibility as well. If something happens and one side gets dirty or damaged in transport, you have the other side available.
I've never seen covers for the mesh panels. Does anyone have a sample to show me?
I'm with Karole on this, do a slipcover so they look great on both sides. You never know when you'll have an opportunity for a corner or an open space next to your booth and you want to look as professional as possible.
Over the years several times I made slipcover style covers for our Armstrong screens. They definitely dressed up the display as well as differentiated us from the ubiquitous ProPanels.
Jen sounds like a project to me!
Honestly if it were me, i would make them slipcover style- that way they would be easier to remove for cleaning.
During the fair season here, April - December, my display get a lot of use, in and out of the vehicle, etc, and when set up, especially for outdoor events, things get very dusty and gritty. So ease of cleaning would be top of my list, along with the ability to utilize both sides.
if only doing one side- I would use the velcro- ties break at the most inopportune moments.
Will you be posting any pictures of the finished project? It would be interesting to see!
