  • Your setup is perfect for what you do. Don't change a thing. A gallery look would not fit your style. I would have loved your booth when I was 10 years old.

    • Good idea. Maybe we need a bunch of innocent 10 year old jurors. Couldn't do much worse than what's happening at some shows now.

      • Hi Larry. Thanks for your help formatting my booth image. I know I can have a better photo to work with next setup. I'll know this Friday if I made it into Plaza. Not getting my hopes up but made it in twice before. Fingers crossed!

        • Are you doing Westport?  I am just assuming that I did not get into The Plaza, that way I won't get my hopes up.  LOL.

          • I'm in the same boat. I'm expecting to be in Westport and that's okay.

            • Westport already sent out their notifications, so I know I am that one for sure.  I tried for Brookside and Prairie Village this year, with no success.  I didn't have a good booth show them though.

              • Yes, I got in Westport. Failed to get Brookside for first time in 3 years. A bunch of my friends who do more whimsical work and have made it in Brookside frequently didn't get in. Which was lucky considering how awful the weather was.

                • Did you try for the plaza, my rejection letter said there were 1382 apps for 220 spots. Not very good odds.
  • I love it. It's fun, funky, and weird. Not the same old same old. It's got a youthful vibe, no wonder young folks are attracted. I say stick with it.

You could maybe lower the camera a little so the hanging lights don't obscure the art at the top. It's OK to show a little roof at the top of the image, just like it's OK to show a little floor at the bottom. But that's a minor point.

    • Thank you Barbara! Would you please be a judge in all my future show applications?
