Is it possible to change the forum preferences so when external links are clicked on in posts, they open in a new window. Currently it's frustrating because if someone posts a link and you click on it, you're gone.... • Just a tip: You can simply right click (push the right hand button on your mouse) and choose open in different tab or different window. Then you do not lose your spot. If you are using a mac with just a one-button mouse- I can't help.
  • Hi Connie, Since most replies are helpful and not one to one discussions, flat is much easier to follow. But most forum software I've seen gives each participant the option of making that decision themselves. I prefer flat so there are no posts that you find out about after making your post.

As to the links, all the forum software I've seen automatically open embedded links in a new window so I'm sure support should be able to point you to the setting you need.

    Thanks for following up.

  • Larry, it looks as though this isn't in the obvious settings for the system, so I'm going to query support on this.

While I was in there looking around I did see that I could have the discussions either "flat" or "threaded." Do you have a preerence?
  • Thanks for asking, Larry. I'll check this out.
