Hello. My name is Cindy, but I prefer to go by Knight Light. I love watercolor and acrylic painting.
One of my favorite things in life is nature. I LOVE lakes, streams, ponds, rivers, woods and wildlife. My heart hangs its hat in the wild and I thrive as a survivalist. Fishing, camping, gathering, and living an outdoor life is what inspires my art. I don't get out anymore like I used to...but drool every time I pass a pond! My husband and I want to move to the Appalachia Mountains in a couple of years when the youngest turns of age.
I can smell the woods and lake, hear the splashing of a river passing by, feel the glint of the sun through the canopy of trees at the water's edge and the tug of a catfish on the end of my line, see the shadowy forms of lake bass slipping from one lair to a new one and the sudden jumping of my bobber on the glassy surface the water, and taste the smoky flavor of the fish I just roasted over an open campfire. The berries I picked earlier make the perfect desert, all washed down with a nice bit of sassafras tea I brewed earlier.
That's living! That's what my heart expresses.

Thank you very much, Jacki. I was looking for some of your photos and didn't find any. Do you have any posted? I would love to see some of your work! I enjoyed some of your notes on your page, too. I thought it was soooo cool that you added a discussion on sharing rooms for artists travelling to art shows. You sound like an organizer and human relations kind of person. The world needs more folks like you! Glad to have made your accquaintace! :)

Cindy, I do sports photography. I take all the sports photos for our local high school year book. A small sampling of some of my sports photos can be seen on my facebook page.
I also worked for a photographer who did hand-colored photography. I did all of his framing and shipping. His wife owns this site and I am one of her administrators. I have worked for them now for 16 years. I love this kind of work. I get to see lots of great artistic work. Thanks for all of your kind words, too. I hope to see you around here.
