After 2 years of doing local shows/markets/galleries, I'm jumping into the art fair circuit this year (2010). I have shows coming up in Virginia Beach, Florida, Ohio, well, lots of places lol. I've mostly applied to the 'Less than $350 booth fee' shows so I look forward to contributing reviews of these venues. It seems there are often more reviews of the bigger festivals on here so I think it will be helpful to have reviews of the not so expensive ones for those of us not quite ready for that level yet (well, not financially ready lol) :). I love the site, I've been lurking for quite some time now.

Hi Dave, thank you :). I'm doing the Art Awards Show in Virginia Beach at the end of January, I juried in as an emerging artist since I've primarily done gallery exhibits up until this point. I know it's a first year show so it it's probably a gamble, but I decided to apply anyway. It's actually pretty far away for me (I'm in the Knoxville, TN area) but I enjoy road trips :).... I'll definitely look into the other shows you mentioned.
