Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals
I'm a freelance landscape and fine art photographer based in St Louis. Self taught with a marketing background, working since 1997. I'm new to the art fair circuit, but so far I've been having a great time! Look forward to chatting with you! And please feel free to check out my website: www.cheryldorris.com I'm also on Facebook: www.facebook.com/cheryldorrisphotography Thanks!!
So glad to have you here, Cheryl. If there is an art fair question you have, I can assure you that our "experts" and non-experts have the answer. Our cumulative experience here is mighty. What was that widget I saw on my neighbor's tent? where did you get those price tags? what is the best credit card machine? how do I talk to strangers? what shoes to wear? how to handle semi-nude people in the booth? what about the neighbor's teenagers who are driving me crazy -- we have all the answers and we like to share. I look forward to hearing about your art fair experiences and hope you meet a lot more fine people like Lee Hill. If you see her again tell her "hi" from me.
What is your next show?
Thanks, Connie!! I appreciate it. I've already been wandering through the other discussions and have found lots of great info -- I'm so glad this will be such a beneficial resource for me! My next show is next weekend here in St Louis, the Faust Fine Art Festival. I'm excited and nervous as this will be my first outdoor weekend festival (the other outdoor one I did was only one day). I've been reading tips on how to keep my tent dry in case it rains, what to do with my images, etc. I'm still on that learning curve! :) Thanks again for reaching out!
Hi Cheryl and welcome aboard :) Gorgeous photos!!!
Thanks much!! And just looked at your images, they're beautiful!!
