Hello from Seattle!

Hi,

Just want to introduce myself - as I stumbled upon this website and the wonderful discussions here recently and found them to be super useful.

I design and screen print apparel and accessories under my brand name "it's a perfect day" - www.itsaperfectday.com. I started selling outdoors at fairs this summer and learnt a lot but there is a ton more I need to learn.

This seems to be a super helpful community here and I look forward to learning from you art fair veterans on this website.

    Hi Satya - which Seattle area shows have you done?  There's a group on this site for West Coast and SW Artists you might want to join.  Over the past 7 year we've been done may of the major shows in the Seattle / Western WA area so let me know if you have questions regarding shows in our "corner" of the country.

      Hi Ruth - the "Seattle Waterfront Arts" by the Great wheel most of this summer and the other was the Fremont Sunday Market a few times. I have just been learning about the bigger shows and the need to apply early. I will start applying for the Spring/Summer shows after the New Year. I was too late for the winter shows by the time I learnt about them. I am trying to get into some of the smaller community type holiday bazaars right now. So we will see how that goes.

    Welcome, Satya. I just visited your website and read your "about us." Excellent. Your business philosophy and positive affirmations will go a long way in making your business a success and it was uplifting to read your story and the development of your ideas.

    Not sure if you did much research on website building, but I've done a bunch and you have incorporated so many of the "best practices" into your site. Good job.

    Welcome Satya.  The more active you are here the more you will learn.  The artists here are also very helpful. 

    Clothing usually does very well at Art shows.  What part of the country do you do shows in?
