Well, my name is Jennifer, and even though I've only asked a question or two, I've already received so much wonderful help. I will truly enjoy learning from everyone and getting to know you all better.
I am a single mom of an ornery 10 year old boy, and I lost my job in the financial sector over two years ago. It has been a hard road, but I am finally doing things that I truly love to do while getting paid for it. Plus, my boss appreciates me (since that would be me).
Most of my life I have spent writing stories, poems, and TONS of letters to the three biggest papers here in the state of Iowa. I've got scrapbooks full of cards thanking me for speaking my mind. I've even gotten a few pieces of hate mail, and that is SO AWESOME. If I can get someone that riled up about a subject, then I've done my job.
While I still don't call myself a photographer (I'm just a photo loving chick), I might change that if I ever make some real scratch.
This site is the best! And I don't care what anyone says - comic sans is my favorite font, so it is nice to see it.

Hello Jennifer and welcome to our group. We are glad that you have joined us here. there is a lot of experience here and our members are willing to offer help and ideas. Someday maybe you will be the one passing out help to other newbies. It sounds like you have a great attitude with the hand you have been dealt and are making the most of things.
