  • I live in St. Louis and have done Mosaics several times. The 1st year I did Mosaics it was one of my best shows of the season. Since then, it's been good enough for me to keep applying. I have a friend who works in glass and she has had consistently good sales there. Last year on the last day we had to pack up early due to a storm looming on the horizon. It actually blew over, but better safe than sorry I guess.

Mosaics is in a nice setting and the organizers treat the artists well. I'm in it again this year.

  • Thanks to all of you.  I had until the 20th to accept the invitation.  That's where this fine tool, AFI, comes in so handy.  I guess I'll decline.  I'm 4 hours away.

  • I have not done it either, but from what I have heard it isn't worth traveling for either. It isn't one that is well known around town or attracts lots of people.

    • I was there last year - 4 hour drive.  Was a bit concerned as I sat down for dinner the night before the show opened - at a restaurant on the very street where the festival is held - and they had no idea there was to be an art festival.  Seemed a bit odd that the (very) local businesses may not have known about it.

The artist events were very nice, and the setting is great.  Just wish the weather would have cooperated!

  • I don't want to douse this with water, but a Missouri artist told me it's only worthwhile doing if you live close.

  • I got called off the wait list as well. I have always heard good things about it, but nothing really about "sales"; hopefully, it'll be a good one for everyone! :)

  • I did it last year.  The setting is nice and the quality pretty good, but the "crowd" was not appreciative.  The artist party was very nice with Missouri wines.  Last year the show closed early on Sunday because of weather.
