Hello everyone,

Has anyone done this show? I heard about this show last year, but hadn't noticed it while trying to schedule shows for this year, until the notice came up on Zapp that the deadline was coming up.

According to the website it is in it's 21st year and held in a park surrounding  a small creek running through downtown Frederick, Md. The info on the website points out that no vehicles are allowed into the festival area, so it is a truck in event. ( the question is truck in from where?)   They are accepting 125 artist and from the pictures the tents are lined up facing the creek on both sides. (it is  paved/bricked walking area, not grass)

Ok, my friends, does anyone know anything about this show?

Thanks,

Wayne

  • Thanks Bill and Larry,

Other than the load in and load out, sounds like a nice show. I am doing more tables now, so will have to give some serious consideration to trucking 4 or 5 tables for a couple blocks. Guess i will have to decide by tomorrow.

    Thanks,

    Wayne

  • It's easier to search if the name of the show is spelled correctly. It's Frederick and I've changed the name of the blog to correct it.

  • Thanks Courtney and Bill.

i tried the search but got no results. I do love this site, but the search function leaves a little to be desired. Or maybe it falls under the category of user error.

Bill, it sounds like the load in is about what we had a Portsmouth. Is that correct? Did you do well there?

    Thanks,

    Wayne

  • We've done the show twice. There are two reviews from last year. use the search box in the top right corner and you should find them.
  •  This show is on either side of a creek, it is paved and stunning, a beautiful park. With foot bridges joining the two sides, load in and out can only be done with a hand truck and can be quite grueling. Set up is the day before the event. There have been times I had to dolley in from almost a block away. They try to get you close, but that can be hard with vans, trucks and trailers.
