On occasion, I get spam text messages after doing a show.  It lasts for a couple of days and then it stops.  I learned something today that you can do to keep from getting those texts.  I have a Verizon phone and they call those texts "Premium" texts. AT & T may call them something else. You can put a block on "Premium" texts by either going to your online account or you can call Verizon.  Either dial the number or type *611 and request that these texts be blocked.

  • It's connected to your passing out cards with your phone # on it.  Obviously, you can't stop passing out cards. So, the best thing you can do is block those text messages.
    • In addition to cell phone spam, I also get icky emails for a few days after almost every show.
  • Is it connected with doing a show in some way? I've been mystified (and annoyed, of course) by how these companies got my number.
