I'm guessing they all require white tents for consistancy but I notice they really try to keep it simple, almost antiseptic looking... Just white walls for the post part except those who have art that can be mounted...

I hung colourful sheer curtains of gold and burgundy and when it gets hot,I roll up the white tent panels and the light shines through the gold and burgundy sheers and changes the whole moods, especially when the breeze moves the sheers, it's like a day on the beach.. or boho gypsy tent... I hang a few decorative bronzey  faces on the sheers and have shells and starfish hanging on the support trusses and I made covers fro the weights after this piccie!

I did add some extra detail to my pedestals, I hand made some bronzey faces for the front... can you tell I hate boring unadorned surfaces?..

I get a lot of compliments on the tent atmosphere.

I wish I could have done more with it ,I wanted to have an easy to assemble lattice gazebo or more little beach house boutiquey..that looked like it popped up in the show but I don't think I could get away with it. I really want it to look less "tentlike".

I ran across this image and I totally love it!!! But can this be allowed with the "white tent" guidelines.. with out having to build it under a white tent?

Added bronzey faces to my pedestals...

I love this idea, I saw him at a show,,think it was Ann Arbor...found this on the net, looks like same artist. I totally love this, reminds me of my old shop...

My shop before I lost it in a fire...

  • I realize you can do whatever you want inside the tent, but what a hassel. I think this is much cooler...

  • I saw this display outside freestanding before, no tent over it, at other outdoor shows... but it does have a white canopy...

  • Your premise is incorrect. The tent has to have a white top and sides. But you can build your display however you want within the tent.
