I am finishing up applications for the midwest for June....I have a feeling that for the 3rd week in June I will be deciding between these 2 shows. For any of you who have done both which one would you choose? Any guidance or info would be much appreciated!!

  • Still hoping for additional feedback if there is anyone out there who has done either or both of these shows...thanks!!

    • OK, I have never done College Hill but have done Leeper Park for many years and it is usually my best show of the year. However, it is my home show and I have a large customer base, which makes a difference.  As Connie said, it is easy to do, and is the only big show in the area so people save up to make their purchases there. But...big, flashy expensive art usually doesn't move.

      • Thank you Joan!! We do small fused glass dishware and household items (trivets, coastrers etc). It is a little "flashy" (dichroic accents) but mostly in the under $50 price range. Do you think that would sell in the area? Love South Bend :)

  • Thanks Connie....I did read the reviews and it seems the ones for College Hill may have been slightly better than Leeper Park, but hard to decide. I don't live close to either but hope to do 3-4 shows in the midwest so will be in the general area depending on which others we get accepted for (applied to 3 each weekend in June in the midwest). Thanks for feedback!!

  • I've never attended the College Hill show (but have met the show directors who are very cool), but I have attended the Leeper Park show in South Bend. Easy to set up, nice park, good hours, decent quality, not sure about the sales.

Which one do you live closer to?

I think there might be some reviews on each of them on this site and on our other site, ArtShowReviews.com. Do a search.
