So, Connie....how do we send you a pledge? Maybe I'm missing the link? I'd like to give a little bit back. AFI has been a wonderful resource for me and I've had access to shows I would have otherwise missed. I have learned so much over the past few years I cannot possibly sit here any longer without making a contribution! I've been reading your blogs and podcasts, participating in discussions and reading what other artists have to say...helpful pointers, great suggestions and a very supportive community. You've cultivated an amazing crop of folks!

What a wonderful request, Gayle. Thank you. Accordingly, we have just added a new tab at the top of the site: "Support AFI". Clicking there will take you to a place where generous folks can say thanks quickly and easily.

I've had people ask me to hold the pledge drive at a different time of the year as many artists are tapped out in the Spring before the big shows get rolling. Spring fits my work schedule, but hopefully people will see this link and keep us going through the lean times.

There is a fair amount of overhead running all of our sites and I'm not doing it alone, luckily have found great people to work for me, including Jacki Bilsborrow who keeps ArtFairCalendar.com up to date and watches over this site, Tina Towell who does advertising outreach and chats up folks here on AFI and Sabrina Aughenpaugh who helps me with the email newsletters. I couldn't do all of this alone. Thanks for noticing!

New pledges just in as we get to the end of our annual birthday party. All the thanks in the world to everyone who gave to help us out here. Every $$ received is important. We reach 1000's of people every day with our four websites. What if a 1000 donated, just one day's worth of visitors? Wow! I could afford to "back a booth" at a bunch of shows around the country ... you pledge, you win the prize and then you tell me which show you want me to write the check to to pay for that space whose payment is due ... I'm liking that idea! and I'll definitely use it next year.
