Probably depends on the subject. I shoot a lot of shore birds and butterflies, so I use color. I have sold some B & W images of covered bridges, and think I'm going to reprint them again for the fall shows. I think it's harder to make B & W look good than it does color. The images that I sold I spent a lot of time adjusting various parts in Photoshop. Of course, if I'd taken more time with the shots, I may not have had to do so much post processing!
I show sepia-toned images quite a bit. Folks love 'em, and then they buy something in color. But I do sell some of the limited edition sepia tone images. Generally to a more knowledgeable audience.

Good images in black and white are easier to get into shows but more difficult to sell.
