Best Practices?

OK, so I'm going to start doing some local art fairs next summer, and I'm looking for generally agreed upon best practices/equipment for setting up a booth.

EZ-Up vs. Flourish? Best ways to weight a booth down? Best layouts? Whatever else I'm missing?

Any ideas are much appreciated!!!

  • Best practice for you depends on the type of work you do, the size you create it in and the amount of inventory you want to show and have for backup.

Flourish is much more stable than EZ-Up but it depends on whether you do 2D work and connect your panels to the canopy, which helps stabilize it and whether or not you weight the legs down. If you're a jeweler and don't use backdrop walls or weights, it doesn't matter what type of canopy you have.

Any other questions, you need to give more information and you should walk shows and look at how other artists set their booths up.
