The Bayou City Arts Festival Web Site has posted artist's full size 1920 x 1920 ZAPP images on their web site.

Click on an image
then click View all Photo Sizes.
At the top you can choose several different sizes including "1920 x 1920 Original"

A potential problem is that they may claim that there isn't time to remove the full size images because the show is this weekend. I'm going posting this to the forums urging artists to contact them immediately to take the images off their web site and I'll be calling ZAPP as soon as they open this morning.
713-521-0133 is the phone number for the Bayou City office.

  • It amazes me how many people "work" in the art world who have no idea about the business practices. within the art world.
  • Larry - Are you concerned that the images could be used by a third party for some nefarious copying reason? I think other shows use the zapp images on there sites, Fort Worth for example. Is "full size" the issue?
    • Full size is reproducible and the images don't have the artist's copyright on them. Anything can be done with them from full page magazine reproduction to a poster size prints, and the designs of 3D artists can be easily stolen and examined in detail. Why photograph artwork at shows (there was a thread about it) when you can just download the images from the show's web site. The size limit a show puts on their web site should be 500 pixels square.
