I'm looking for feedback on whether I should set up my booth with 7' panels for displaying my photographs vs. 8' panels. I personally like the feeling of being in a booth that's eight feet tall, as it provides a real sense of space and openness. The question is, is it foolish to then only use 7' tall panels in a tent with 8' walls?

Looking for feedback from anyone who has made a mental note one way or the other when you've been inside a booth and thought about this issue.

Thanks-

Lawrence Sawyer

  • I did go with 2-part (KD) 8' panels, 38" wide. They fill the space top to bottom, and all that "wall" real estate is luxurious. It feels regal in that tent! But Kelly Brown is right, I do need a step ladder to access the high spots.

    • Ah! Good deal Lawrence! Glad you went with them and are happy with your "regal" results! ;)

  • I have the one piece taller panels and they are wonderful!  The major detail to consider if you should get the taller panels is your own height, I am about 5'6" and I cannot reach the top of the displays myself without being on a step ladder or footstool. The larger panels are also too heavy for me to carry on my own. Fortunately, when I do my shows, my husband who is 6'6" is able to reach everything without needing a step ladder and carry everything. I am very fortunate to have his height advantage and assistance. The taller panels make him feel better and my booth does have a very open and spacious feel due to the extra height and seamless appearance.

  • Are you considering the stacking panels to get the extra height or the adjustable legs to raise everything up higher? It seems like having the bare space above the 7 foot panels would look awkward.
    • The stacking panels- although their materials (Propanel's) suggest I can get one-piece 8-footers. I am curious about that option as well. My instincts say to go with the 2-part 8-footers.
