  • Try dragging the bar to the bottom of the screen where it should lock to the bottom.  If that doesn't work, try clicking on the middle icon which will undock the chat dialogue box and then close it.  If that doesn't work, and you don't use it, click on the far right icon which will shut off the chat function.  If you can't get it to stick to the bottom of the page, probably the code was written in C++ or another Windows based code that doesn't function well with the I-Pad.  I like to leave the chat function minimized at the bottom of the page because I like to see how many people are on AF Insiders and sometimes I look to see who is on, too.
  • I do not have it on my computer, but do see it on my Ipad and Iphone.  It is annoying.  I also rotate the screen to read that which I cannot see, but usually just "read between the lines."
    • You're right, I don't have the problem on my desktop either, but I'm actually amazed at how many people have this problem.  Maybe...hopefully...they'll figure out, like Larry suggested, a way to turn that annoying white bar.

  • I just turned something off in the "Chat" -- we'll see if that helps and I'm investigating further. Thanks for your patience.
  • I get the bar on my android too!
  • I wrote about this back in April when I first go my iPad. It is a problem with the Chat function.  I think the Chat function is seldom used and I wish I could turn it off.  As Sheila points out, being able to rotate the screen, helps. One other annoyance,  I cannot get the Blog section to appear on my iPhone, but does appear on the iPad, weird. LC
    • Actually rotating the ipad doesn't work. It just moves the bar somewhere else on the page and locks it there.

      • That's what I said in my earlier post---it moves the bar rather than gets rid of it. But that lets you read the line that was covered. The you can turn the iPad around again.
      • I think it's gone. Thanks Connie, Larry, and whoever else was responsible.
        Aaaaah, life is good. Thanks.

        Oooops, it just came back.....
      • I tried rotating the bar on your suggestion and it works for me. It's true that it moves the bar to another location (doesn't make it go away), but at least when you move the bar, it allows you to read the line of text it was covering. You can rotate your ipad/iphone back once you've read that line.

        Thanks for the tip.
