Hi--

I am a photographer trying to exhibit in my first show. I have many questions about booths. I’ve read the past years’ worth of posts in this discussion, and looked at many pictures. It appears that all of the photographers use Pro Panels to hang their photographs. Right now, it would be a real stretch for me to buy both Pro Panels and a decent tent, even used.  Not to mention that I don't have a vehicle large enough to carry 9ft panels. Are there any good alternatives? If I ended up using one of the alternatives, should I just not bother entering the ‘better’ shows, whatever they are?

Thanks,

David Lawrence

  • Does anyone have any used mesh panels for sale, or know of an alternative manufacturer? I went to HutShop. They showed a set, but I couldnt find how to order them, get a price, or even call their office.

  • Check out the mesh panels from Flourish. They collapse into a bag and are about a third to half the cost of Propanels.

  • I have seen artists use painted plywood panels that looked really nice. I am not sure how they were fastened but they did seem to do the job

    • thank for the idea, greg

      • Definitely not as fancy as pro panels ...but not as expensive either  for starting out
