I have my own 24" printer and it wouldn't be a horrible task to print up some low dpi prints of clouds and blue sky, glue it to large panels of cardboard (maybe something more rigid) and hang these panels on an angle in the ceiling of the tent - thereby giving a hopefully attractive other dimension both for the customers and jurists.

Thoughts?

  • Keep it simple. Hanging something you don't sell is a bad idea because it wastes the time the jurors spend evaluating your work. I'm not telling you to not do it for a show, but for jurying I don't recommend it.

  • It sounds like it might be a good idea but you would probably want your customers noticing your artwork instead.
If you put this in your booth everybody that walks in may be more drawn to this than to your artwork. You want your artwork to be what gets people's attention & keeps their attention. When people leave your booth do you want them saying WOW did you see how he had his tent decorated? (& they may not even remember what it was you made) Or do you want them to walk away saying WOW did you see his artwork, he is a talented artist?
This is just my opinion & others may be different.
(I can't speak for the Jurying because I am only an Artist)

    Good luck,
