Abstracta for jewelry display?

Hi All,

I'm brand new to the craft scene and I make jewelry. I am looking into improving my display set up. Currently, I am using card tables with fabric covers and I don't think it's professional enough for the juried shows I would like to apply to in the future.

My question: Are there any jewelers out there using Abstracta display systems?
I am curious about how difficult/easy they are to transport and set up and how well they wear over time. I am usually on my own for shows so if I can't set it up on my own it's not a good choice for me. If anybody has any advice for glass display cases or experiences with Abstracta I would greatly appreciate the advice!

THANKS,

joanna

  • Hi Joanna:

I just now had time to sit down (taking a break from my 8-5 job) and noticed  your tread.  I also make jewelry and I do 4 shows a year.  I use several different ideas for going vertical on my tables.  If you have a Hobby Lobby close by they are a great place to find items.  Watch their clearance or take advantage of their 40% off coupons.  I purchased 4 of the tall decorative pillar candle stick holders and then went to Michael's and purchased  their large rectangle mirrors.  I use the tall candle stick holders to support the mirror.  I then put my necklace easels on them.  You can also use sturdy boxes and drape  cloth over them as well.   You will be able to see the candle sticks in the left upper corner of the picture.301639295?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024
