What are the best things about art fairs

Getting to meet other artists who share the same creative spark , getting to connect with clients , and best of all since i demonstrate in my booth - getting to inspire the next generation of artists !

Best show ever and why

Walt Disney Festival of the Masters It used to be an at home show for me We got super spoiled with free tickets to the theme parks ,an amazing artist oasis , lunch , party and for me I had amazing sales $

Worst show ever and why

Port Warwick art fest Newport News Virginia . October 2014 . Should have never gone do to the weather , but i hold a strong commitment to a show when i sign my application . Got there and the park was flooded but the director still went on with the show . By sunday we were ankle deep in the mud , I still managed to make about $1,000 but cleaning mud off everything took another week away from my studio time !

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

Have been a member for a while now and used to do the east lansing show years ago under the name Cukier ARt my xhusband found a new wife , new life and I found Asheville in 2009. I also tell all of the artists who I mentor as when a new young artist wants to try to do a show here in Asheville , I lend them my tent and propanels (as I have two setups) I set up next to them and help them learn what art shows are all about .

What is one fun fact about yourself?

my new partner and I started making beer soap as Asheville rivals Boulder for Beer City USA . Since there are so many hipppies here including myself ( I paid my way through college on grateful dead tour selling crafts and working at Orlando frame and art ) Our 1st Bar of Soap is called "Dirty Hippie " I hand drew out the soap design tags with a VW . It is patchouli , rose , lemon & saffron scented with local beer , Avocado and Coconut oil. My partner's name is William Hunter and he makes Crystalline Art Pottery . So our friends got a real kick we are soap makers now and we are up to 13 scents selling locally at markets in asheville !
