First show ever

I attended Gallery on the Green in Walters, OK, because it was away from people I knew. I figured if I didn't do very well, no-one would know. I won first place that year, and Best in Show the next.

What are the best things about art fairs

The interaction with the buyers, and the opportunity to see what things people like and don't like about my products.

Best show ever and why

Hangar Holiday in Wichita Falls, TX This was the best run show I have attended; they averaged about 10,000 shoppers each of two days. Good profit and easy show.

Worst show ever and why

A very small show in Windthorst, Tx. It had been good for a number of years, but had fallen on hard times. The last show they held was poorly advertized and very poorly attended. I barely made booth rent, and most other venders did'nt make their booth rent.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

No-one. I was checking out an art/craft show in Woodland Park, CO, and some of the comments I read were on this site.

  • Hi Sam, can you tell me anything about the Woodland Park Art Festival. My husband and I have only begun doing shows and we would really appreciate any advice as Woodland Park will be our third show. We don't know if we should bring some of our higher priced items or less expensive pieces. We are so totally confused! The other two shows that we did both were so different. Thank you so much, Jodi!!

Thank you so much, same exclamation
