What are the best things about art fairs

The "high" when you have huge sales and the wonderful, amazing, hard-working artists who I have met and have become dear friends with over the years.

Best show ever and why

Park City, 2013 - Best sales ever. Why? Because we are all in this gambling game to earn a living.

Worst show ever and why

Aspen Grove Art Festival in Littleton Colorado about 2005, because my tent blew away in a micro-burst. 16 tents were completely trashed that night! Luckily, we had all closed down for the evening and no one was in their tent when the storm hit. My tent from Flourish was blown over, but still useable the next weekend in Breckenridge (after repairing the holes in my roof)! A few paintings ended up with holes in the canvas, but I repaired them and then people still bought them and seemed to appreciate them even more after hearing they had gone through a storm! Another odd thing about that night is I had put all my big canvases into my truck to take to a customer's home so he could decide which one looked best. I was at his house when the storm hit the show, so all my big paintings weren't even in my tent! Normally, they would have been. Lucky coincidence.
