Meeting customers, real time feedback on new products, getting to see new places, and the money.
Best show ever and why
Evergreen Summerfest July 2023; it was the first juried show I got into. I sold my most expensive piece, got encouragement from another jewelry artist I admire, and there was a line of women all wanting to by a type of piece I had just started making and I nearly sold out of them. It was just a huge dose of validation that this labor of love was not some pipe dream.
Worst show ever and why
I don’t know if I want to name names here, but this one was supposed to be good and the organizer did zero advertising and there was almost no one there. The few sales I had were from other vendors and I will never do another show with this org again. If you are in Colorado and want to know the name of the event and the organizer, send me a private message.

What is one fun fact about yourself?
I am a former wilderness survival instructor and a former US Marine Weather Observer. And yes, we were called ‘Weather Necks’.
