First show ever

My first show was a local area Kansas City Etsy team Valentine's Day arts/crafts show. Since then I have done several more local shows as well as a few national shows. I am wanting to branch out and do more national shows.

What are the best things about art fairs

I don't have a strong opinion on this. I like the immediacy of an art show. They allow an artist to display their work to a large number of people, receive feedback, and hopefully make good revenue in a short period of time.

Best show ever and why

I haven't done a lot of large art fairs, but my best show so far was the No Coast Craft-o-rama in Minneapolis. It was a pleasant experience all-around for a newbie, and I did quite well selling there too.

Worst show ever and why

This could be a tie among some of the small local arts/crafts shows that I've done. Unfortunately, some of them barely covered my booth fee. They were poorly advertised and very poorly attended. The benefit was getting to chat with other vendors and meet fellow local artists and crafters.
