What are the best things about art fairs
Meeting people face to face, and engaging them with my work. Taking a look at the way other people set up their booths, as well as getting inspired by fellow artists. And exposure is always nice!
Best show ever and why
Galena Country Fair - October 2010 It was a beautiful fall weekend, with the best weather we could've asked for. We made lots of new friends, and met lots of people who loved my paintings. It was fun and really invigorating. After the fair, we spent time meandering around Galena, and walked around some shops. It was just an all around great time.
Worst show ever and why
Herscher Craft Fair - Septemeber 2010. The wind was HORRIBLE. We couldn't even set up our walls, and the entire fair was set up out in the middle of a small country town, so there was nothing to hold the wind back. My sister also set up some things, and her entire display blew away almost ever 10 minutes. Someone else's entire tent flew away. It was just chaos, but we did have a good turn out as far as people checking out my stuff. We laughed a lot that day.
