Years in the Art Fair Business

a few off and on

First show ever

Marist High School when I introduced my first prints "Tabernacle Blues" depicting The Baptist Tabernacle which became the House of Blues during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, GA. I was a single working mom and had to put up my love of painting when my 2 year old says "Mom! Look, I'm painting" as I looked up in horror as he was painting the inside of my walls and carpet with Dr. Martins concentrated green dye.

My style has changed through the years as does most artists as we grow.10345986272?profile=RESIZE_710x

What are the best things about art fairs

Love to attend them when the quality of work is good. Inspirational. Good to talk and share with other artists as well as purchase a few pieces for myself. Love the atmosphere, music, food, and diversity of people.10346117665?profile=RESIZE_710x

Best show ever and why

10346262894?profile=RESIZE_710xVirginia Highlands for the art.

Inman Park for the parade.

Worst show ever and why

10346255869?profile=RESIZE_710xChastain - competes with Brookhaven and not easy to see artists, too hilly, bad layout as booths not on both sides to encourage traffic, can't park close by.

This may have changed since I last went.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

Painted my old vega like a bulldog's face when I was at UGA (University of Georgia) and got a standing ovation when I drove by the rail road tracks.

(That was a long time ago - you had to be there!) Still love to paint dogs!10346100460?profile=RESIZE_710x
