What are the best things about art fairs

Meeting so many great vendors and organizers from so many different places is wonderful. And it is so gratifying when a customer loves a piece of jewelry and just lets herself buy it. That is an enjoyable sale and makes me feel like my efforts are worthwhile!

Best show ever and why

My best show was had nothing to do with sales. A buyer admired my work and said what I made (quilted items at that time) was the best quality there. She then referred me to a woman who organized a juried art show, and I participated in her show for several years.

Worst show ever and why

At an indoor show in May, I was all excited because I don't do outdoor shows. Got everything set up, arranged, and had great enthusiasm. Well, the weather was horrible--sleeted and very cold. The run and parade were canceled, and hardly anybody came to the art fair.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

A "friend" on the Wisconsin Artists and Crafters website suggested I try Zapplication. In searching Wisconsin craft shows, I came across this site while browsing. I have many questions and thought I could use some advice from seasoned artists who do juried shows.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

There are days when I get so involved in making jewelry that, at about 2:00 p.m., I think, "Oh, I should eat breakfast.
