What are the best things about art fairs

Putting Joy on peoples faces and the travel.

Best show ever and why

Main St. Fort Worth. Doubled the Sales of my previous "Best Show" (even after Saturday was cancelled due to rain), and had a packed booth (constantly) for three days! Yay! Well run, Friendly Staff/Volunteers, Great Amenities, Organized Load-in/out. Amazing!

Worst show ever and why

Leeper Park. Southbend, IN. I feel duped by this show. I travel from California to Indiana to be in Sunshine Artist's #37 (at the time). To find out it is in a Duck Pond Park, and the only foot traffic are new mothers who are upset they can't take their child to see the Ducks, because there is an Art Show in the way! I try to play by the rules. If a show says "Originals Only" I expect it to bring in the clientele with the means to buy Originals. I tried it their way, and didn't even make the booth fee! Meanwhile I watched others selling prints, greeting cards, etc. I learned not to always trust the "Top 100" type lists.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

I'm not sure. My boyfriend handles all booking and research. We think he stumbled upon you through the internet (most likely a google search) and has been following/using you for 3 years. I do know he recently found your podcast and listens in the mornings while planning our time on the road! Thanks!

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I was a Dancer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. I met my Boyfriend (a Saxophone player) there. Now 11 years later, we are traveling the country together selling my art, as he runs our art business! (as mentioned above... we love the travel!)
