What are the best things about art fairs

Meeting other artists, and interacting with the public.


Best show ever and why

Gilmore show, Carolina Christmas Classic. The event is indoors, very well attended, and brings in enthusiastic buyers.


Worst show ever and why

Blackbeard Festival in Hampton, Virginia. An outdoor show in June, we dealt with severe thunderstorms all morning to be followed by sauna-like conditions in the afternoon.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

My wife and I are both artists. While we each draw and paint, my wife specializes now is textile art (quilting and fabric design), and is also a silversmith; while my work focuses primarily on portraiture and illustration for publication.
