Best show ever and why
Best show was Printer's Row Art Fair in Chicago in August 2023. My work is contemporary, and this art fair attracts a relatively young and "hip" crowd. The Printer's Row area is a gentrified and trendy neighborhood in Chicago's South Look, with lots of restaurants and other amenities. I found my best audience there.
Worst show ever and why
Glenview Art Fair in July 2023. I didn't like the feeling of the art fair (it was set up in a shopping center). The crowd was older and less receptive to my work. My sales were the lowest of my ten art fairs in 2023.

What is one fun fact about yourself?
I am a certified public accountant by profession (!). I took up painting in my semi-retirement after moving back to Chicago from 33 years in Germany and quickly discovered an audience for my work.
