Hi Donna
I seen your post on the upcycle artist section, and my art is something similar to yours in that I use found or recycled metal objects to make my art. I have never found it a problem when other artist look closely at my art, because of the very nature of found objects they will never be able to copy what you have created, because they will never find the exact same stuff. There is one artist on the west coast that makes similar art and he post photos on his website with "copy righted" overlayed on each photo. My thoughts are always that this artist must be wrapped a little tight to think that his art is that special. Its your execution, your skills as an artist, your ideas and your drive that makes your art unique, and no one can copy that. Let them look, and even encourage them and know that your art will always be better than theirs. What frost my backside is those venders that sell "buy & sell" as their own creations. I done a couple of shows where the metal yard art was coming right out of the boxes from Mexico, and that's hard to compete with, and I always complain to the show staff about these rip off artist.
