What are the best things about art fairs
Getting feedback, especially on my latest work; talking with people; selling my work so I can make more!
Best show ever and why
Arden Fair, Arden DE. Despite it being last-minute (I had been waitlisted) and my display being awful, people responded very well to my work, the many volunteers were incredibly helpful (important since I do shows solo), and my work sold quite well, despite my lousy display and disorganization.
Worst show ever and why
Haddonfield. Despite being nominally juried, it was, in fact, not. Next to my original work were such things as mass-produced baseball hats. It was ridiculously expensive for me to have to compete with such products and their price points. And then it poured.
