What are the best things about art fairs

Meeting people, hearing and sharing stories and of course, having customers like my work enough to buy it for themselves or for friends.

Best show ever and why

Mt. Gretna Art Show - because I sold out of my framed pieces and it was not hot and humid in August.

Worst show ever and why

Was called Arts Alive...should have been called Arts Dead...about the only thing patrons were carrying were their children, their dogs or a bag of kettle corn.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

Never had to leave a show...keeping my fingers crossed.

  • Hi Daniel,
I live in Western Pa - Pittsburgh - and am just starting to do art fairs. I make handcrafted jewelry - http://dianewrightdesigns.1000markets.com - and I was wondering which Pa show you find are consistently good. My merchandise is higher end and I am finding that I have been doing shows where people are looking for $1 - $20 items. They like my jewelry they just aren't looking to spend $75 - $150 for a necklace. I would be interested in you input if you don't mind. Thanks, Diane
