What are the best things about art fairs
I met the most friendly, kind, and talented artists at shows last year. I never expected what a pleasure it would be to connect with other creative people. And they have been so helpful, teaching me all sorts of good things about how to be successful on the business end.
Best show ever and why
Honestly, it wasn't the show where I made the most money. It was probably my very first show in Cook, MN. It was extremely windy and I didn't know yet how to stake my tent down securely and I almost lost it several times. Other artists came over and offered me spiral stakes and ratchet straps, and I made some enduring friendships right then and there. Now I pay it forward.
Worst show ever and why
Agate Days in Two Harbors, MN....I hurt my back and lost my tent in a big wind....and that was the morning BEFORE the show even started....never made a cent and had to go home, see a doc, and order a new tent.

Hi Betsey! I don't have any definite plans to be in Bayfield, this year, but if my planned show circuit in Colorado falls through then I may apply to the Festival of Arts at the end of July.
