What are the best things about art fairs
I love being able to connect with people and talk about my art and the process that goes into it. I also love to see when my art makes people happy when their faces light up and they do a little happy dance when they see something that brings them joy!
Best show ever and why
This is my first year doing actual art shows so I would say so far maybe the downtown markets boho bazaar I loved it because it was a 1 day event it only went for 6 hours and I made morning that show that I do at most busy 2 day shows
Worst show ever and why
Danielle blue ribbon events Walloon lake. The coordinator lied and told us the expected outcome was a few thousand we had less than 150 people come out for what was supposed to be a 3 day event. On day 2 she told us she didn’t want to stay another day so we had to pack up that night which screwed with the people who paid for an extra night at a hotel. She said we where supposed to have 30 vendors but there where only 5 artists 2 home improvement stalls and 2 food stalls and I believe of those doing the event only 2 of the vendors made back their booth fee. She also charged me an extra $75 for a corner space but never gave that to me and when I confronted her about it she told me to email her and she’d pay me back. Which never happened even after several attempts to reach her. It was just a hot mess!
