Just to give some artists 'hope' I thought Id let you in on my good news. I just had my last day at my gallery/studio . (I have an art gallery in Gatlinburg at the Arts and Crafts 'loop'. Its an 8 mile 'loop' of artists and craftspeople). Ive been here for about 4 years at this location. Prior to this I spent about 6-7 years doing the artfair circuit, from Florida to Vegas and almost everywhere in between. I just did my 'numbers' and my sales are UP this year from the past two years. Not by much, but up.:) For the year Im only down by a few hundred dollars, amazingly. Amazing because the first 5 months were WAYYY down from other years, so the fact that Ive basically caught up in the latter monhths is encouraging. :) HAPPY 2010 everyone!

    Thanks for this good news! It seems results are all over the board on the year, people really happy and people pretty scared. It is definitely to your advantage to live in an area where the arts and crafts are respected and collected. I hope 2010 keeps up this trend for you.
