Where to winter?

So hubby suggests we go to Florida, Arizona, somewhere warm for maybe a month or 2, January and February most likely and do some shows. I am a painter. We live in Wisconsin. Anyone have any tips on doing this? Where to go, shows that are good? We're thinking of borrowing our daughter's camper and doing the RV park thing or maybe renting one in whatever state we land. Sound like a lot of moving parts to this plan but warm weather sure sounds good in Jan/Feb. Any advice would really be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Thanks Richard, I'll look into those areas!  This is exactly the kind of info that's helpful.  Would you know of any shows in those areas?

    • Check the art show reviews section and specific blogs on this site. The ones that come to mind are the balloon festival in Albuquerque and another show in Las Cruces. I have not done either but researched them at one time. There is always something going on periodically in Terlingula, TX too. Grab your road atlas  and the internet LOL.

  • Don't overlook southern New Mexico or Big Bend region of West Texas. They are less populated than southern AZ. Northern part of both AZ and NM have snow in winter.
