Hello everyone,
I'm an artist who does art fairs and shows my work in galleries(oil paintings), and I'm also a sales associate for a newly launched online art gallery called Mysoiree.net, and we are trying to come up with some new ideas for our artists. Currently, we aren't charging any monthly fees if any of you would like to sign up, just use referral code A001, and each artist has their own "studio" with blogging, the ability to connect to social networking sites (facebook, etc.), an area for a bio, you can be featured as a "studio star", and if your work is selected, it is free to be listed in our quarterly catalog.
Another service we offer which is totally different than any other online gallery I've seen, is our live Soirees, or art parties. Currently they are held in and around the Berkeley CA area, in artists studios or public buildings and cafe's. About 30 artworks are chosen from our website, and if the artist lives close enough, they can drive their work to the Soiree, otherwise, we use digital images in power point, etc. Their are usually hundreds of art enthusiasts at each Soiree, and we provide food, drinks, and of course art. I think this is a great way to promote artists and their work, and we hope to eventually hold these Soirees all over the country and possibly further.
So that is a little information about our company, but I was just interested in asking you what additional services would you be interested in? Has anyone ever tried selling their work on virtual world websites? We would like ANY input you have, we want our site to serve the artists the best way it can and really make them successful.
