  • In spite of the perfect weather, crowds seemed to be much lighter at the show in Reston this past weekend. I had a good show thanks to a serious collector who added more of my work to his collection. Will review the show when I return home.
  • I know some of you are going to be at this weekend's "biggie" - the Northern Virginia Festival of the Arts in Reston. I know its had its challenges with layout and wind tunnels and bad weather, here's hoping this weekend will be perfect for you. Report back!

  • I'll be at Artsplosure in Raleigh, NC, my third year. Good music, good artist ammenities and good sales. And for this Florida girl the weather will be a treat low to mid 70's both days. If any of our peeps are around I'll be in booth 24.

    • Hey Lori!  I'll be in booth 170.  It's my first year for this show...I'll try to get around to meet you!

    • Love a report on this one afterwards, Lori. Have a good show.

  • Yeah, Connie, I'm at Old Cap this weekend. Next to some old friends on the rotunda roundabout. Booth 124 on the south entrance. Should be fun, even if we don't sell anything. Of course, I'm hoping we do better than that, but who knows?

    • I always enjoyed that show until Spring Birmingham was started and we started staying closer to home. Do they still have that children's art tent? One of the best kid's activities anywhere, I'd say.

      • They do have the children's tent. I have to mat 100 little prints this morning! LOL.

It doesn't overlap with ArtBirmingham this year. That show got moved to Memorial Day Weekend.

        • I should have known that! Wow, that was a bold move, but it had been plagued in recent years for very bad weather. The last time we did it we pulled a dumpster next to our booth and tied our tent to it. I hope it works for everyone.

          • That would be funny if it rains next weekend because the weather has been good, so far in May in Birmingham.  Jim, I'm in booth #81.
