They say these are the dog days of summer but when I get up in the morning and it is 54 degrees I wonder where that dog went. There aren't a lot of shows around this time. I think it is mostly because people who put on art events like a vacation also and don't want to spend their summers organizing them. What's your theory?
On my horizon this weekend: Levis Commons Art Fair outside of Toledo, story here, the fancy Jackson Hole Art Fair in Wyoming, more here, the very cool Mt. Gretna Outdoor Art Show in PA, click here for a good story about the artists who are in the show, and the lakefront shows in Michigan City and Frankfort, MI.
Help me out here. What am I missing and what are you doing?

You paying attention to this, Tim Reilly? We'll be debuting this with its appropriate painting called Market Day at The Cotton South show this September. WOOHOO!
I am excited to be at the Levis Commons Fine Art Fair for the first time. Got everything set up in 3 hours today. It is so nice to be able to set up the day beforehand. Looking forward to a great show! I'll be in Booth #60.

Pretty amazing traffic manager at Golden. Could use this person a few other places. How did you manage to park upside down?
my image is right side up and so is an enlarged image. Glitch??
Here's a good article about Mt. Gretna, in case you want to research for next year. http://lancasteronline.com/entertainment/art/mount-gretna-outdoor-a...
I believe Bill McLauchlan is there this weekend and lots more people from this site.
Hope it is better than Lewiston. Done this show before?
Visitor to the weaving studio this afternoon (not in the area during summer art tour); continue weaving for 3 future autumn events; and Sunday, checking out two art fairs to consider for next year, one in northern WI, one in UP.
