The vast majority of people I see using mesh panels are hanging paintings and photography from them. They seem to hold the weight quite well without sagging.

With my woodart I recently started creating some wall hanging pieces and am looking into mesh panels as an option for hanging them. Most of them will be less than 10 pounds and the largest would only have a depth of about 8 inches.

My other option was to make some solid painted wood panels...but I feel that these would be awkward and bulkier and would not have the convenience of being able to place a hanging bracket anywhere on it without drilling holes for the hanging mounts.

Has anyone used mesh panels for hanging pieces besides 2D art?

I like the idea of mesh panels because of their versatility and they would certainly be easier to maintain than wood walls would be.

Thanx for the input...
