I think we have come up with a workable, inexpensive solution for transporting most of Sherry's paintings. She made gallery pouches out of old blankets and fabric, which fit inside of separate vinyl pouches she made from material she ordered through Amazon(JoAnn's). Each painting has one soft pouch for cushioning inside the vinyl pouch to keep them dry. The vinyl material is only coated on one side with the inner side providing additional cushioning.
At Home Depot I found Stanley ProMobile Job Chests ($68) which holds ten to eleven 16" by 20" (canvas size) framed paintings. The chest is 37 7/8 by 22 3/4 by 23 and 1/4. I bought two of them. I will probably go back and get one more. They easily fit two deep in the bed of my pickup. These have a handle and wheels so the work like a hand truck. I have enclosed the following link to the image:

As an added bonus, the label says these are made in the USA. These will hold most of the show inventory. We will need to find one larger case for three to five larger works. Three of these cases plus one larger case should be enough to transport approximately 35 paintings. We have calculated that this will be enough inventory to transfer to a show. I want to ask that question in another post.
Of course there still is that minor detail of getting into a show.
